| 'Echo the Sun' is a bright yellow hosta with nicely rippled margins, comparable to a gold version of the blue 'Diamond Lake.' The low, mounded habit is more prostrate than 'Diamond Lake' but shares a similar wedge-shaped leaf of thick substance. Compared to 'Coast to Coast,' 'Echo the Sun' has a more minor habit and a pronounced rippled leaf margin. Lavender flowers appear in midsummer. Hostas are exceedingly popular perennials in today's gardens due to their versatility in the landscape. Their subtle colors, tall flower scapes, and broad, coarse leaves fill a niche in garden designs that few other plants can achieve.
